How To
Email notifications
If you want to get notified when your requests are available, add your email address to your account in Jellyserr. Click on your account icon in the top left of the screen, and select "Settings". Under "General" add the email address you want to get notified at, and choose "Save Settings" at the bottom of the page.
You can configure the types of notifications you get by heading to "Notifications" > "Email" and unchecking the options you don't need. Don't forget to save the changes you make!
Apps
Jellyfin has native apps for different platforms and operating systems. While you can use the web player in your browser, you'll have a much better experience using dedicated apps. Find the best client for your device:
Account
Manage your account (coming soon). Change your password or username and add an email address for password resets.
Report issues
Have you noticed an issue with an existing movie or TV show? You can report issues for existing media through Jellyseerr.
If you notice an issue with an existing movie or TV show on Jellyfin (e.g. playback issues, wrong subtitles etc.) please submit a report through Jellyseerr. Search for the title in question and click on the yellow button 'Report an Issue'.
Request new content
Do you want to watch something new? You can request new content and report issues for existing media through Jellyseerr.
Search for what you want to watch, then hit "Request". Movies and Shows will automatically be downloaded by the system. You can request as many movies as you want, but there's a limit for requesting TV shows (15 seasons per 30 days).
To save power, the backend where requests are processed is shut down from 24:00-10:00 UTC, so these will only get added in the morning.
Download
You can download movies and TV shows to your device through Jellyfin. Download media files by selecting the title, then click on the three dots in the menu and choose "Download".
Downloading individual media files can be useful if you experience playback issues, so you can play content with a media player on your device for better compatibility (like VLC), or if you want to watch things offline.
